1) Attach power cable per manufacturers directions. Ensure locking ring is secure.
2) Bring Strain Guard under the connector. Place connector into the Strain Guard device and lift a little. Allow weight of cable and connector to press Strain Guard against side of vehicle. Attach Velcro straps.
3) Verify the Strain Guard device is absorbing the weight of the connector and cable and it's pressed against the vehicle.

Directions

A shore power connector was built to carry current, not to carry a cord. Strain Guard puts that weight on the side of the vehicle instead.
